What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather is unsuitable — such as heavy rain, storms, or unsafe conditions — we may delay the start or cancel the event. Your organization’s representative or committee member will be the first to receive updates and will pass that information along to you. We will also post updates right here on this website and on our social media channels. Please check back the morning of the event for any changes.

Do I need to clean up?

YES! This is a collective event, and we need everyone’s help to keep Crystal Lake Park beautiful. Please pitch in by cleaning up after yourself during the picnic and lending a hand with group clean-up at the end. Many hands make light work, and your help ensures we leave the space better than we found it. Thank you for being part of the effort!

Are alcoholic beverages allowed?

No. This is a family-friendly event, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted during the Unity Picnic. We appreciate your cooperation!

Can I bring my own food?

While we’ll have plenty of food available for everyone to enjoy, you are welcome to bring your own food if you have specific dietary needs or preferences. We just ask that you help us keep the park clean by properly disposing of any trash and being mindful of food safety in the summer heat.
